I have been racing for 20 years, I have been the Central Florida SCCA Regional Championship points for 5 years running, and won the championship in my class 2 times. During my first start in the 60's I won many solo awards and the State Championship Drags. I serve as a senior instructor for SCCA, and have taught in Mercedes AMG events at Daytona, and Dodge Viper Days at Sebring International. I have been in the thick of the competition for all of my career. At one time or another I have driven race cars at speeds nearing 195 MPH. It's quite a ride !
Racing has been a passion of mine since my early teens. I love the smell of burning fuel, the noise, the intense competition, and the camaraderie. Basically I love fast race cars !
I know that the best way to learn a craft is teaching it. This is why I started instructing as soon as I was qualified. I'm Anxious to help others further their racing interests, and learn the many skills necessary to throughly enjoy the sport. Many of my former students are now my competitors and give me real battles on track. I love it !
Racing is very intense and fast paced. Car preparation and engine work must be just the opposite. Patience, surgical cleanliness, and absolute perfection are a must.
I enjoy most all mechanical work and do my own preparation, building, engine assembly, and fabrication. I am an accomplished welder, and mechanic. I also enjoy body work, crash repair, and so forth, I can also paint, but don't have the heart to charge for it.

I presume by 'auto car' you mean that it is fitted with an automaatic gearbox. Since I'm in the US I had to convert KMS to MPH . That gives me 75MPH+ at 4000 RPM. Yes I think that's a little high
Hi Sam: Now that's a question ! How much does it cost ? Well racing is expensive, very expensive, so you will have to have a good job and probably some help from others, your parents, aunts, and
Hi Ken! Thanks for writing. Changing the toe out, front camber or castor shouldn't affect the weight distribution, at least not to any significant degree. I don't have any great "secret" numbers
Hi Dave: The basics of gearing are simply to gear the car so that it exceeds the peak horsepower RPM by about 500 AT the shut down or braking point on the longest straight. It's a trial and error thing
