Expertise

With over sixteen (16) years in the security industry, ten (10) years as a practicing consultant, I can answer questions that relate to the development of a security program that covers physical, operational or technical security. This includes: The development of and the administration of a threat/loss and vulnerability assessment, security master planning, security lighting, electronic and mechanical locking, target hardening, crime analysis and statistics, vehicle arresting devices, investigations, development of security policies and procedures, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), liability mitigation and workplace violence. I also have considerable experience with the planning, implementation and management of technical systems such as access control, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems, alarm and intrusion systems, Digital Video Recorder (DVR) systems, visitor management, transmission systems, control center design, space planning, ID credentialing and etcetera.

Past/Present Clients

I have participated on multiple projects from the industrial, government, public, education, retail and private entity sectors. For security reasons, specific client names are withheld.

What do you like about this subject?

Never a dull moment

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

One challenge that I am evalauting is the shift in direction to a Security Director

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

Security is as old as Cave men times. We have always desired protection, and the first forms of security can be traced back to when people banded together to stay safe.

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

You will never see a benefit from the costs and time to implimenting security, if you do it right. This makes it difficult for people to do something until something occurs.

2009-11-23 news directors:

Demetrius, I don't advocate interfacing a news agency. The story could spin out of control fast. News agencies want to sell papers, and will just use the PI. How about photos showing that he is

Demetrius, I am still not following, however, as a twist you might consider a Russian/chineese mafia connection. This organization would be hired by the "secret" organization that your PI is investigating
