2009-06-06 new wood floor in kitchen:

Lois, Yes, the wood should be stained and sealed to protect it. We try to have the fridge out of the kitchen so we can sand where it was at. Andrew

2009-05-11 Armstrong laminate floor chipped:

JoAnn, Yes, I have heard and seen laminate flooring chip. If I were you I would call around to get a flooring contractor to repair the board. It should be a relatively inexpensive and easy fix.

2009-04-28 laminat:

JR, I would advise you to tear the whole floor up, get new, better-grade flooring, and start from square one. There is nothing that you can put on a laminate floor for your problem.

2009-04-22 Exterior door adjustment during hardwood installation:

Meredith, Hello and thanks for the question. When a client wants real wood by a door that is too low and can't be trimmed I recommend either some kind of engineered wood or a 5/16" thick strips.

2009-04-20 Installing engineered hardwood 5" plank:

Donna, I can't say who is right or wrong without seeing the floor. If the manufacturer says it is supposed to be nailed and glued than that is what I would have done to cover any warranty issues
