Expert Profile: Matt Volenec

Expertise:  I have 11 years of experience fishing from medium to high performance sea kayaks. I started out when there was little or no serious interest in the sport of kayak fishing. Because of this, most of my knowledge comes from having to modify a sea kayak for fishing with out being able to draw on the knowledge of others (trial and error). I specialize in the Midwest region and have developed methods to effectively utilize the strengths of a kayak for fishing in high winds (25mph-45mph). I cannot answer sea kayaking questions regarding safety and non fishing related questions.

Experience in the area
Kayak fishing (fishing from a sea kayak)
