Expert Profile: Matthew T. Drew

Expertise:  I can answer inquiries relating to bass fishing in Central Florida and questions pertaining to inshore saltwater fishing on the west coast of Florida. Bass fishing is my specialty although I study and pursue all freshwater species as well as snook, redfish, trout, cobia, tarpon and mackerel in saltwater. I specialize in artificial baits although I am well versed in the live bait arena as well. Spinning and baitcasting outfits are my main weapons although I am also familiar with spincast equipment and have recently taken up casual fly fishing. I usually fish by boat in both freswater and saltwater environments. I own a canoe that I take to freshwater areas on occasion. I have also wade fished and walked many miles of banks in search of fish.

Experience in the area
I am a native Floridian and have been fishing for all freshwater and many saltwater species found in the central area of the state for 30 years. I regularly fish bass tournaments in Florida.
