Education/Credentials

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

It had been my dream since I was 3 to fly military jets, but a back injury put an end to those dreams. Though I'll naver fly for the military, I can still teach about their aircraft, and maybe encourage somebody else to reach for the sky. Currently, I am looking for work in the field of journalism.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

People as far back as Leonardo da Vinci had designs for aircraft. In fact, in 2003, when some of his designs were tested, they actually flew!

AH-64 A/D Apache - 21,000 feet (6400 meters) with an absolute minimum load.  CH-47D Chinook - 18,500 feet (5640 meters)    Note that while they are capable of flying this high, I have never heard of either

Tilting the rotor forward also causes the nose of the helicopter to go slightly below the horizon.  This, and an increase in engine RPM (revolutions per minute) are what causes a helicopter to increase

You have an interesting concept here.  Please don't mind if I respond a little out of order.  At least in the US Military, you will never see aircraft DNA linked to a particular pilot.  This is because

2010-01-13 Flight Times:

Flight Simulator does not help in that terms of planning, but figuring the range of the aircraft, stopping somewhere on the East Coast of the United States would probably be best.  Keep in mind if you
