Expert Profile: Kat

Expertise:  I can help with anything from freshman/transfer admissions to financial aid, from coursework to campus life. I'm extremely familiar with the College of Liberal Arts, but I know a fair share about other colleges as well.
I'm a senior with a double major in English and Government, and I'm also completing the Liberal Arts Honors program.

What do you like about this subject?  Attending the University of Texas at Austin was the BEST decision I ever made, and I have been happier during the past four years than I have ever been in my entire life.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  I would love to continue into graduate school at the university, but we'll see!
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  Freshmen who worry about the transition to college life can join FIGs, programs that allow new freshmen with similar majors or interests to live together, take courses together, and generally get the atmosphere of a small college at this BIG university.
Something controversial or provocative about this subject  The university is in the process of phasing out the Top 10% Rule and phasing in a system of grading with + and - lettering.
