CULTS! What is a cult, what is thought reform, who gets involved in cults, how do families respond to a family member in a cult, what is exit counseling, what is the recovery period after a person leaves a cult, who are the experts in the field, specific questions about particular groups, etc
Having two of my books published, receiving awards from organizations in the field of cult education, running recovery workshops for former members of cults, conducting family interventions for cult-involved individuals and helping them to regain their freedom and critical thinking.
Educating the public about harmful groups and cults and dispelling the myths about who joins cults and how cults work.
Continue educating myself and making the public aware about the deceptive appeal of a cultic group.
Cults actively recruit -- no one "joins" a cult, they simply join something that looks good, that offers a purpose larger than oneself or seems to meet a personal need at a transition time in an individual's life. We are all vulnerable at certain periods of time in our life.
The image of "deprogramming" -- an involuntary intervention in a cultist's involvement. The kind of work done by Thought Reform Consultants is completely voluntary and the family takes a large role in the family intervention.
