I've been a wallpaperhanger for 28 years. I've been a house painter (interior and exterior) for 20 years. I also do wallpaper removing and wall patching and light skim coating. The walls may have to be patched and/or skim coated after the paper is removed. Another option (the 2nd best option), might be to hang lining felt over the old paper. That may give the old wallpaper
I'd suggest waiting at least 24 hours before applying blue tape on the wall. ( A better alternative which will cut down on "bleed through" is green (frog) tape). It is something new that just came out
There is too much buildup (too many layers) of paint on the door edge and the inside of the door frame. The way to correct this problem is to plane down the door edge and/or the inside of the door frame
They do have different products (I think scotchguard has one) to protect wallpaper. Do a Google search on the Internet or check your local paint or hardware store. When you find a product, I'd suggest
I'd suggest using a "super ooze" roller cover or a foam roller cover (one that does not shed hairs). Thin down the paint a little so it "flows" on smooth. If you use a brush or heavy nap (1/2" or 3/4")
