Can, and will, answer most questions pertaining to small engine repair, and service. But PLEASE furnish me with the proper Model numbers, and types to assure me to be able to answer your questions the most accurately as possible. If the problem is dealing with the frame, drive, or deck portion I need the manufactures numbers, if it is the engine itself, I need it's make and model numbers, rather than the frame's. Tom

Common problem with that carb, it's either a LMT, or LMK model carb. Needle valve and seat are not sealing, or the float is filling with fuel. Doubt the float as you've used 2 different carbs. It is more
A couple of preliminary checks you might try. Check when it stalls out for spark, fuel, and compression. Start by removing the spark plug, put the lead back on and ground the side of it against the block
After assuming your running a fresh correctly mixed oil/fuel mix. You need to remove the muffler and check if there is a spark arrest screen in that system, if so it may be carbon build up needing cleaning
I have to assume you tested the battery first, and found it able to take a load? With a confirmation of a good battery present, time to get out the test light. But first off make sure all safety items
The problem you have is a carburetor issue. The needle and seat in the carb are not sealing when the bowl is filled, causing the fuel to spill over first into the intake manifold, then into the cylinder
