sounds like one of the buttons on the tv is bad or stuck. the IR sensor will not cause this issue. look at the control buttons on the tv itself and see if one is stuck in. if not then you need to replace

well there are two boards in the tv that will cause this issue. without some testing we will not know what board it is. one board cost 160.00 the other one is 550.00. if you would like to do some testing
