I can answer questions about various critical forums, typical critical arguments, the need for and validity of criticism, the Church of Scientology`s stance on critics and criticism, Scientologists` commonly stated criticisms of critics.

Experience in the area

I am both a Scientologist and a critic of the Church of Scientology and, occasionally, of the Scientology philosophy and of L Ron Hubbard, when warranted.
I have been posting to critical forums since 1998.

I am familiar with other attempts to critique and criticize critics of Scientology; eg: Bernie's website about the criticism of Scientology and the Church of Scientology's Office of Special Affairs specific efforts to handle critics.

I was expelled twice from the Church of Scientology- the latest of which was for reading and posting to a critical forum (alt.religion.scientology).

Education/Credentials

I am a former Church staff member, an auditor, and have had extensive training in Scientology "tech" and "admin" while a member.
I have been interviewed (in June 2005) on radio station KAHL regarding Scientology.

What do you like about this subject?

I've learned a lot from my communications with critics of Scientology and am impressed at their courage in taking on a very difficult task-ie: criticizing an extremely vengeful organization and related matters.

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

To raise the standard of criticism where possible, to contribute to excellent criticism already taking place, and to educate people about how the Church of Scientology treats critics.

Church of Scientology members are not allowed to communicate with critics unless specifically directed to do so.
