Expertise: I can probably answer most questions regarding public relations that includes marketing communications, business development, media relations, publicity, promotions and crisis management.
Experience in the area For more than thirty years I have held executive positions and have consulted in the fields of entertainment, banking, travel, non-profits, transportation, real estate, theme park, high-tech, sports and health care. Most of my experience has been with start-ups. To be more concise, my professional experience in the communications media consists of working in radio as an announcer, interviewer and producer; in television as a camera operator, producer, director, writer and on-camera host; in documentary films as a writer, camera operator, soundman and editor; and in journalism as a feature writer, editor and publisher. My marketing and advertising experience has come from one of the country’s oldest and largest advertising agencies, N.W. Ayer, as an account executive. I am also a professional travel photographer, a public speaker and hosts a public access cable show “City of Achievement” where I interview non-profit organizations.
Education/Credentials I have a M.A. degree in Communication Arts from Loyola Marymount University, and a B.A. degree in Radio/TV/Film Broadcasting from San Francisco State University. I have also earned certificates from courses completed in labor relations from UCLA and in bank marketing from the Bank Marketing Association. I have taught advertising and copy writing courses at Columbia College in Hollywood.
