Experience in the area

I have owned my own massage therapy practice for the last six years and have been working as a massage therapist for seven years. I have worked in spas, done out-calls, private spa parties, chair massage at events such as the Nike Womens Marathon, Bioneers Festival, and for employee appreciation days at companies such as Chevron, First National Bank, and Software Startups.

Education/Credentials

I have certifications and education in several modalities of massage: swedish, shiatsu, acupressure, reflexology, reiki I, trigger point, pregnancy massage, aromatherapy, vibrational and energy healing, sound therapy, deep tissue, sports massage. I participate in continuing education. I have worked at two different vocational schools selling Massage Therapy Programs to interested students. I do guest public speaking at schools to give information on "how to run your own massage therapy business".

Renee, thank you for you question. Without seeing or feeling your "knots" I cannot be certain of what your issue is. Even though your "knots" do not hurt, I would definitely go to your general physician
