My unexpected specialty has been correction of disorders caused by working conditions. Who knew that office work could hurt so much and be so damaging? Your back and neck pain is correctable, let's talk about it. I also specialize in post-operative rehabilitation and if I don't know the answer I can at least point you in the right direction. I've been working on pre-medical studies on my way to becoming a doctor and would be happy to take questions about anatomy, physiology and all of that fun stuff too.

Experience in the area

Full-time practice since 1993 across Canada
Post-operative rehabilitation and postural correction/persistant chronic overuse rehabilitation specialties

Education/Credentials

Massage Therapy education: 2 years (CCMH, Newmarket ON), 1 year (WCCMT, New Westminster BC) Honours Bachelor of Science, Psychology major (Lakehead University, Thunder Bay ON)

What do you like about this subject?

You're here to improve yourself;
I'm here to help you.
I love working with determined folks in whatever realm, and there's no motivation like pain or the inability to measure up to your highest potentials!

"Education for life, therapy for living. "

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

Massage Therapy is one step along the line; I hope to be in medical school in a few years to take that training to a completely new level.

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

Some people agree, some disagree, about 'Energy Work' - but various modalities such as Reiki, emotional release, Cranio-Sacral therapies, and others are an excellent additional way to treat most soft-tissue injuries. If you're interested - ask. If not, I won't get into the Woo-Hoo of treatments that requrire some user belief systems.
