Expert Profile: Amita Chauhan

Expertise:  I can answer any questions about Bombay including ones about lodging, restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. I will answer general questions about travelling in India such as what to pack and safety concerns. PLEASE do not ask me about the weather.

Experience in the area
I am a U.S. citizen of Indian origin, who has lived in Bombay for the past 15 years, after moving here from New England. I have a good idea of what a Western tourist expects from India.

What do you like about this subject?  Since I have lived in Bombay for the last 15 years I know the ins and outs of the city. I like letting visitors know how diverse the city can be.
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  People may not know how cosmopolitan a city Bombay is. It is very similar to London or New York in that it is fast paced, fashionable and always changing.
