Many Greeks say:"Ancient Greek is a dead language; why should one bother learning it?" Well, it is introduced in the 1st class of High School as an obligatory lesson. I'd say that apart from us, Greeks, inheriting it and eternalising its importance, it "corrects" in many senses the Modern Greek.
