What do you like about this subject?  With 7,107 islands, at high tide, the Philippines is a beach lovers' paradise. Some of them of the most fascinating sea scapes in the world are to be found in these islands - both above and below the surface. From limestone archipelagos, coral reefs, teeming marine life, white, sandy coral beaches, you name it.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  Learn more about the various ferry services in the islands that backpackers would like to know about.
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  This is one country that you can get by on your own if you can speak English. Almost every Filipino can speak good English and you can ask questions, find your way with any problem. This is unique to a developing country where locals often speak nothing else apart from their native toungue.
