It shouldn't, however If it were me, Iwould stand the sofa up on its side/ verticle and stack the boxes on top of dressers, etc. There would possibly a chance of a permanent mark on the cushions. Standing

Absolutely, If you can palletize the item, Stretchwrap it and have it ontop of a pallet,You can send it Yellow Freight, or all the freight carriers, I would'nt think it should cost you over 200.00 tops
