Expert Profile: Jenny Wojcik

Expertise:  Decor: I've written about it, planned it, designed it and colored it, and I've never stopped loving it. It's not what you spend, or who made it, it's how it makes you feel. I take pride in assisting people with virtually every aspect of making their homes more comfortable and livable on a budget! As an advisor and decorator, I have assisted many do it yourselfers in the quest for developing their own unique home style.
College, advertising, public relations, marketing and a plethora of creative endeavors have led me here. A stint at a law firm taught me humility too, but I really never scratched the creative itch until I became an Interior Decorator. Some two thousand questions ago, I wondered if I could really help. I think now that I am, and it feels great to give something back.

What do you like about this subject?  Decorating reflects personal choice and that's exciting to me. People take great pleasure and pride in decorating their spaces. I've met awesome people via this site, and many now have touches of "me" in their homes. That feels good.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  My goals change every day. The one constant thing for me is that there is something to be learned from every experience, every encounter, and that if you're not living "in the moment" you can miss a lot that's worth learning.
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  The number one thing that people forget or don't realize is that decorating is a "can do" thing for just about anyone. It's a style, a feel, a mood, a lot of favorite things and it's color.
Something controversial or provocative about this subject  White walls. Think they're safe? Either we've all got them, we've all had them, or we will have them, and unless those white walls are intentionally white by design, they need to have color added to them. (We don't live in an all-white world...look up...look around you...would you want to WEAR white every day?)
