I can answer question about trumpet playing techniques and general musicianmanship. I have great insight on the characteristics of good trumpet playing. I can answer questions that cover good tone, expanding range, sustaining endurance, and breakdown practice techniques. I can also answer questions about trumpet maintenance and small repairs applicable to brass instrumentation. I can also discuss general brass playing techniques. Since, I recently graduated from college, I am not able to answer questions that are in the post-university level of this genre.

Hi Jared, The instrument that you own is an Olds Ambassador built in 1954 by the F.E.Olds company. The Ambassador line is their student model and are, arguably, the best in terms of durability and sound

Hi Jim, You are correct in the year of manufacture. Blessing Artist models are well built and sound nice. Judging by the condition of the instrument and its age, at the very least you can probably sell
Hi Claire, I know that replating/relaquering an entire trumpet is somewhere between $500 to $800. I am not sure what the going rate is for just the valves. I would suggest leaving it alone and decide
Hi Marty, The "Utona" instrument is made by the WM Frank Co. The horn is not widely available and I would need a serial number to age it. The most information I was able to find was that W. Frank started
