What do you like about this subject?  I consider helping individuals to learn about addictions and to recover from their devastating effects to be a privilege. It is a great joy to play a role in facilitating an individual's commencement of his/her journey of recovery.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  I have recently developed a web site that offers free addictions education, plus my professional addictions counseling services online for a reasonable fee. I hope to be able to help many people online. The site is: http://www.alcoholdrugsos.com
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  Genetics explains 40-60 percent of alcoholism. If you have a parent or grandparent with alcoholism, you may be four or more times more likely to develop a problem with alcohol. If you also have a high tolerance for alcohol, you may have 6 times more risk to become an alcoholic.
Something controversial or provocative about this subject  Can an individual receive help for an alcohol or other drug problem online? Yes, is the answer. Check out this site: http://www.alcoholdrugsos.com
