NASCAR Racing/Expert Profile

Ask A Question

Expertise

I have a wide range of information on drivers, I have the most expertise with Brian Vickers, Jeff Gordon and Reed Sorenson. I have more than general knowledge on other drivers as well. I can also answer questions about statistics, rules, and almost anything technical. I only have a little knowledge of mechanics. I know the rules of the sport very well, and the sport as a whole.

Experience in the area

I have been watching and researching racing since 2001, I have many books on the subject and personal experiences from races. I talk to some of the drivers on a regular basis as well.

What do you like about this subject?

The competitive nature of the sport, everything about NASCAR racing is amazing to me. It's my passion.

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

I am actually studying to be a mechanical engineer, and am planning on going into a racing field to work with a NASCAR team.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

I'm not sure what others wouldn't know, which is why I listed myself as an expert, you ask, I tell.

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

My answer here used to be about the Nextel Open, but now I feel I should comment on Brian's first win. Honestly, that was just Talladega, that's why we love watching that race, and that's why some drivers fear it. Either way, great entertainment, and a fun finish.

There are no rules against it. I agree that it's an incredibly annoying thing to see done, but it happens. It's a strategy the same way fuel mileage is a strategy. I think 95% of people watching thought

2009-10-26 Nascar old points:

Currently (as of Martinsville), under the old points system, Tony Stewart would be leading the points, 80 points ahead of Jimmie Johnson, The top 10 would be, Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon

2009-10-22 Nascar team ownership:

The limit for team owners is 4, not 2. So, no Jeff doesn't own the 48 to stay under the limit for Rick, HMS has 4 cars in thier stable and they are fine. He co-owns with Rick, so it stays a Hendrick car

2009-10-21 manufacturers:

Like I said before, that is between the teams and the manufacturers. Typically it stays fairly even, teams haven't been jumping around manufacturers except for when Toyota came in, and really some of those
