Something interesting about this subject that others may not know: Almost everyone can be nursed at home. We care for Elders (with and without Dementia), Stroke Recovery Clients, Surgery Recovery Clients, long Term Disability Clients and of course the terminally ill.

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field? I hope one day soon the governement recognises how vital our role is and provides people with the proper funding so we may all have the option of being at home if we wish. It's far less expensive and improves a person's quality of life so much.

What do you like about this subject? I enjoy the fact people can stay at home today despite physical and/or emotional challenges. Palliative Care has always been my specialty and I'm so pleased we can nurse almost anyone at home and allow people to die with dignity in their own beds while surrounded by loved-ones if that is what they want to do.
