What do you like about this subject?

Every day is unique in the hotel business. Never a dull day.

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

I hope to help others find a fun, lucrative career. If your in retail sales, or not having fun in your job/career, gives hotel sales, catering, or front office management a try.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

You can make quite a bit of money. The hours and low pay are only true for certain departments. Sales, Catering, Director of Sales, Director of Catering, General Managers, and Food and Beverage Directors can advance to $150K or more depending on the hotel company.

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

Low pay for line level employees such as front desk representatives, housekeeping.
