What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  I would like to learn more about hostage negotiations as being the only type of negotiations that has a formidable "theories" and "Strategies" attached to it.
Something controversial or provocative about this subject  Almost all the negotiation training available in the market place deals with negotiation tactics, very few deal with negotiation strategy as I understand it. Therfore, such training seldom produce good negotiators. Good negotiators who understand strategy are few and far in between.
What do you like about this subject?  Negotiation skill is the number one essential skill for success in life. I enjoy the planning and the win win results I get.
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  There are major differences between negotiation tactics and negotiation strategy approaches. Negotiation tactics are confrontational in nature, meaning that you have to be doing it against someone else. Negotiation Strategy approach is non-confrontational in nature.
