Expertise:  I have been going to Yosemite National Park since I was 10 years old (back in 1970), and consider one of my favorite places in the world. I have camped there, stayed in cabins, Housekeeping, and the tent cabins in Curry Village. I have gone on various hikes, and visited different sites.

What do you like about this subject?  Yosemite is truly our gift from heaven. The park is full of beauty, from the world famous valley, to the giant sequoias in Mariposa Grove, to the beauty of the view from Glacier Point, and the alpine Tuolomne Meadows. There is a lot to see when you are in Yosemite.
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  There used to be a firefall from Glacier Point. They would build a huge bonfire up there, then shovel the embers down the side. People from all over the valley would watch. Also, a tradition of campers in Yosemite was to call out for Elmer - nightly. This was done in the early 70's and you can still hear them call out to Elmer.
