I hike Yosemite several times a year & have done all the rim trails. Have done 1/2 Dome 11 times. Familiar with facilities/camping/concessions in the park. I do not do climbing.

Yes, you have to check with the roads as snow stays a long time in the higher elevations. Clearing of Glacier Point Road started April 22 but snow is at record levels. Doubt that it will be open. When

I think your chances are great. I usually watch when the cables go up on Half Dome. May 1 is usually the earliest, June 1 the latest. Has been a good rain and snow year but I doubt that you will be affected
My area is Yosemite. Would be great if you could get three days in Yosemite Valley floor to see what's there. I like more economical lodging in Yosemite Lodge if you want rooms. Good cafeteria there
I am estimating. About 2 feet high, 2 1/2 feet deep, and 3 feet wide. The lock at the top is spring loaded and will lock it in place once the pin has dropped into the hole. Someone may have the box loaded
