Experience in the area

I have been doing tarot for 16 years and do it for friends, family and sometimes for strangers who want a reading. People say my predictions come true, but I like to think that my readings give good sound advice as opposed to inevitable predictions. I feel its more enlightening to give some interesting insight or a different perspective to your issues. My readings do not always give predictions, however, because sometimes a little advice as well as empowerment is more important to your situation than knowing the future.

What do you like about this subject?

I like how it stimulates your mind and forces you to work on your metaphors. It's hard to tell whether to give a figurative definition of the cards, or a literal one. I also appreciate how it develops your intuition. To be honest, I am still learning about these cards and it's wonderful to realize there are many things I discover about them everyday.

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

Basically, my main goal is to help and guide people who are at a crossroad and don't know where to turn. I use my knowledge of the tarot to help guide people and give them advice and hope that no matter what there is always something you can do about your problems in life.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

It's interesting how people think Tarot is something from the devil. They are just a deck of cards...no big deal. If this really were work of the devil nobody would ever get good sound advice from the cards...but they do. I think it is a tool like anything else which God gives His creatures to help them. Technically you don't need cards, you can look anywhere and God's signs are there.

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

It's easy to get caught in the wrong crowd and get judged. If you're in a sciency group you're silly and naive for following something from a dark past. The religious crowd will shun you for doing the work of the devil. The trendy group will accuse you of being a witch. Controversy follows tarot everywhere, but like most controversy stands a lot of truth...most people are afraid of that.
