Expertise: I can answer questions about the basics, like tuning and correct playing position/ hand position. I can also help with questions about the pedals on pedal harps, and I have some experience with lever harps, too. I can also give you tips for moving a harp to get to a practice or performance, and loading it into your car. I can also help with questions about buying a harp. I can answer just about anything.

Experience in the area
I have played harp for about 4 years. I took a class at Interlochen, and then decided to continue. I have played in orchestras, accompanied a vocalist, played duets with various instruments, and also performed solo. I was in the Michigan Youth Harp Ensemble for 2004-2005.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know: Harp strings are different colors so you can tell which strings are which. When people see the colored strings, many assume that it is "training harp", but all harps have different colored strings!

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field? I hope to become a professional harpist and study at the U of M School of Music
