What do you like about this subject?  The challenges, as an athlete and coach.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  Karen wishes to continue writing books and training programs.
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  Karen has published more gymnastics books than anyone in the USA, mostly drills and conditioning books. She has also published gymnastics journals, parent's guide, swing set fitness books, fitness journals, fitness programs, and drills and conditioning posters.

Something controversial or provocative about this subject  Although there are still some coaches who do not teach many drills or use enough conditioning, the drills and conditioning method is the safest method of training. Drills and conditioning exercises help prepare the gymnast physically and mentally for new skills and combinations. The muscles must be trained as much as the mind. Drills help train the muscles and mind to perform specific movements.
