I know all 24 manufactures of fire alarm panels. If you ask me I will tell you who I think is the best, and who is the worst. A lot has changed in 30 years, and many consumers have no idea what they are buying, and what they should expect for reliability for their systems. The question is, why are you paying for so many repairs? In the South, re-occurring revenue is extremely important. Do you fall in that category?

What do you like about this subject?  I have the ability to use all my talent in Engineering to help protect security systems for lightning strikes.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  It is a ministry
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  This area, is not well know by 99% of most technicians in the trade of security.
Something controversial or provocative about this subject  Yes, the name brands used, many prefer cheaper products, but normally they do not work. Most security techs, slap the protective product on the system with a kiss or a promise but fail.
