I continued in the Senior Care/Home Care Industry as Regional Director of Training for Comfort Keepers providing training and operational support to 10 offices in the Gulf South Region. I now have 12 years in this field. I now own and operate my own Senior Care Consulting business, GL Consulting, LLC (www.GLconsultingLLC.com)
Graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University, Hammond, Louisiana. I am a CSA (Certified Senior Advisor).
I have a passion for the providing quality care for seniors. I believe in honoring people with fragile physical health or mental health by providing them with a great quality of life until the very end of their life.
Many adult children of seniors are in need of assistance to help to care for their parents. Where does the money come from to pay for home care, private sitters, assisted living communities? What are all available options for care? By starting my senior care consulting business, I feel I can help with these types of questions and many more.
It seems to be acceptable in the US to underfund & understaff the care for seniors. People must take an active role in changing laws & funding. At every opportunity caregivers should speak to those who can affect change. Additionally, caregivers are an invaluable resource. Programs need to be available to help the family caregivers to get the rest & resources they need.
