What do you like about this subject?  I love the complex nature of humanity and the struggle God undergoes with us to make us better than we are. Our history illustrates brilliantly the endless patience and grace God has with us. Philosophy helps us understand the undercurrents of how we behave and believe in every day life.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  There is so much more learning for me to do and I look forward to wherever the journey takes me.
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  Little Debbies snack foods workforce consists of a large portion of Southern Adventist University students.
Something controversial or provocative about this subject  Dancing, jewelry and women ordination are all very touchy subjects amongst the Adventist community. To the non-Adventist community, I would think that most find our views of the scapegoat, state of the dead, and Sabbath-keeping as the most controversial.
