Greeting phoolwati, Kiln wash is used to prevent glass from sticking to the kiln shelf. It is usually applied using a Haike brush, but a good paint brush will work too.The kiln wash is mixed with water
Hi Debbie, The only way to get rid of the white (or ground) edgle of the glass is to polish it, and that takes special machines and skills. I assume these pieces are not getting leaded or copper foiled

Hi Barbara, If the chip is underneath the bevel, then it might be able to be smoothed out, without losing the bevel. But you have to realize that to smooth the chip away is removing even more glass
