hi diane good question glass does not go bad from age or storage i have a lot of glass that is older than a hundred years and cuts like it was made yesterday.in fact i use glass that i bought 20 years
hi kim the only size i ever use is three sixteenths 3/16 it will give you the best looking lead lines.i would also suggest you use 60/40 solder as it flows better than 50/50 and takes a better patina.the
hi jennifer you buy and have it cut at most hardware stores i would make a templet out of poster board make sure it fit's on your lamp on the inside then go to the hardware store with the pattern and ask
hi jennifer you can try cutting a piece of regular single strenght window glass just a little smaller all the way around.then cement it around the edge of the glass and inserting it on to the broken glass
hi candi first the remaining lead on the border should be removed.you will have to trim all the lead lines back but before you do this' go to a stainsd glass supply store and buy new lead came to replace
