As Clarion programmer since version 2.0 for DOS (1988), I am a consultant who specializes in Clarion programming. I have converted systems from DOS to Windows and have worked with every version of Clarion for Windows. My background has also included teaching database design, SQL programming, project management, and programming in a variety of languages from COBOL to PL/I. I have been a consultant since 1974 and a programmer since 1966.
Clarion allows me to write for a number of unrelated businesses. I've written applications that are accessible only via the web as well as communications applications and also large (more than 270 procedures) applications for service-oriented businesses.
Clarion is probably the best of the RAD languages and as such means I can develop applications for my clients in record time. Its also always evolving.
I have never used the Clarion template language. Next year I hope to start using it.
Clarion is really three languages in one. There is the actual language, the pre-written ABC methods which you can use as if they were language statements, and the template language.
Clarion programmers find this language far more powerful than the other RAD languages like Delphi or PowerBuilder.

Diane, I understood that you were getting the error but to the best of my knowledge that file is not part of the Clarion6 report writer. So I don't know about it. You called it a file but what kind
Diane, You say you can't locate the wera9es file. I do not know what that files is. Plus I've checked my Clarion6 environment and see no such file. As to the "Clarion 6.3 Report Writer Engine
Second question first. I am not aware of any FREE Clarion training. Also keep in mind that the latest version of Clarion is 7.3 and Clarion 8 is in early beta. On your first question you are in a difficult
My first thought is to check you project and see that you have no C6 references in it. Beyond that, my first conversion of a c6 app had over three-thousand errors<g>. Fixing one error got rid of over 800
Now, its my turn to apologize. I answered this question right after you responded saying that you were using Clarion 6.3 but for some reason it was never posted. I'm familiar with all of the products
