Model Railroading. I'm sorry I can't help with valuations, Lionel/Flyer or specific DCC systems technical questions. I can help with any modeling technique, most two rail wiring questions, and principles of DCC. I'm best at true scale and realistic finishing techniques and consider "museum quality" to be an excellent standard. I consider "rivet counting" to be excessive and counter-productive to the enjoyment of the hobby.
I have personally modeled HO scale for 50 years. I have done work both personally and professionally in other other scales and gauges to include N, HOn3, O (true scale), On30 and G. I operated my own model manufacturing business from 1991 thru 2006 when my wife, Linda, took over because my motor control deteriorated to the point that I could no longer do the fine work personally. I still help with kit design and manufacturing.

Hi, Mni! I suggest you go to http://www.bachmanntrains.com/. You will find several references and can send a question to "Ask the Bach Man". They can give you a better answer than I can without seeing
Hi, Victor! Code 70 refers to the Height of the rail (actual not scale). Code 100 is the most common and is 0.100" high. Code 83 as you then might guess is .083" high and Code 70 is .070". The smaller
Hi, Josh! I'm sorry but I haven't read either one. I learned wiring a different way. I think I'd go for both. If budget is a concern, I would start with "Basic Wiring" because it has more illustrations

Hi, Stanley! It sounds to me like you may have the magnets too high relative to the rail or that your trip pins may be dragging. Get out your coupler height gauge and check to see that the magnets
