I have 22+ years of cross stitching experience, which includes stitching on Aida, evenweave linen, vinyl canvas, and have stitched a design on a cotton t-shirt using waste canvas. I have also worked with beads and blending filament in quite a few projects. I have made many projects which include cross stitched mugs, a keychain, pictures, magnets, and the cotton t-shirt. I can answer questions pertaining to preparing and cleaning fabric, preparing clothing for stitching, how many threads to be used on which Aida cloth, and will try to help you to the best of my ability with other questions you may have. I am prompt in my responses and usually answer within 24 hours from when you ask your question. I look forward to helping you. :)
It has been a hobby of mine for almost 22 years and I find it extremely relaxing and very rewarding. You can create projects that you can't buy in the stores, ranging from mugs, bookmarks, afghans, photo albums, address books, etc. All the items listed can be purchased at your nearest Hobby Lobby or Michaels craft stores or even Wal-Mart.
Someday, I hope to start my own business from home making gifts. It's a tad time consuming and so I would need advanced notice. It's something unique for one person to give to another.

Hello, Dawn :) You can try stitching a small sample (a couple of rows of 5 stitches) in a corner both using 1 strand over 1 fabric, or using 2 strands over 1 fabric thread. You will see which one suits
Hello, Alia :) You can do the pattern on Aida, if you'd like. :) The linen is what the original project was stitched on to give you an idea of what it looks like. If you prefer to stitch it on linen
Hello, Caryn I, too, am an extreme beginner at hardanger, and am about to take a course on it, in fact. I've seen cross stitch with hardanger, and I'm guessing that it's over 2 of the fabric threads
Hello, Paneet :) Yes, you can stitch over 1 thread, but try stitching with 1 strand of floss, and if that doesn't fill the fabric, try using 2 strands. Be sure to not pull tightly when you're stitching
Hello, Beth As your finished size is 14x21 (I'm guessing that this is in inches), simply cut your fabric 6" extra, which will give you extra material for framing. Since your finished design size
