Expert Profile: Ray Bigam

Expertise:  I can answer most structural questions that relate to quantity of building materials or possibilities of products. I cannot do to insurance and local building codes specify a product. I can help you figure some loading problems, roof pitch and things of this nature. I will try and be as helpful as possible.

Experience in the area
I am a structural estimator working the in the commercial building field. I also have a wood (ewp) floor system design background. I have been in the construction industry for almost 20 yrs now.

Education/Credentials
I have attended an over abundance of building trades’ classes through the years. I have been through Construction Estimating Institute’s Basic Estimating class as well as their advanced estimating and advanced roof construction. I also have been trained in Truss Joist (I level) E.W.P. Floor design and Boise E.W.P. floor design. On an end note I built custom homes for a few years as I wanted to know what it was like in the field as well.
