What do you like about this subject?
Military supply is amazingly complex and quickly changing. All acronyms chage every 6 years and a sailor/soldier/civilian must relearn this info, but the basic system never changes. Get the war fighters the material they need when they need it.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?
I hope one day to be able to run a Military Comptrollers Office or Contracting Office.
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:
Almost all material used in the military has it's own National Stock Number. Even Budwieser Beer has a Military NSN.
Something controversial or provocative about this subject
Mistakes do happen and a 800 dollar P-3 aircraft Toilet seat did exist. The Pricing Error was quickly fixed when the Maintainers told supply the problems on the cost.
