I will take questions on all facets of American Railroading. With the emphasis on the operation of small to mid size railroads. Mechanical, electrical and general maintenance of all railroad equipment, locomotives, freight and passenger cars. This also includes more than a working knowledge of gasoline, electric, gas & diesel electric, and steam locomotives. I welcome questions of a historical nature.
30 plus years in the railroad business covering every manner of operation, maintenance, and equipment rebuilding. I am or have been qualified as a steam engineer, a locomotive engineer (steam and diesel), brakeman, conductor, yardmaster, chief mechanical officer, and chief operating officer. I have worked on major projects such as phase one of the restoration of the 1935 Budd built Flying Yankee.
