Expertise

I can answer questions about all Fisher Price toys 1931-present. I collect and specialize in toys manufactured before 1990 ( including infant and toddler toys; push, pull, riding and floor toys; musical instruments, music boxes, TV’s and radios; “Talk to Me” books and players; Movie Viewers and cartridges; and last but not least Little People and accessories). I can answer general questions about the Fisher Price company, collecting Fisher Price toys and toy values. I can also assist in identifying and dating Fisher Price toys. I have extensive knowledge of cleaning, repairing and restoration of Fisher-Price toys of various ages and types, including ones made with wooden and plastic pieces as well as paper lithos.

Experience in the area

You could say I grew up in a "Fisher Price" house, as my siblings and I owned hundreds of these toys through our childhoods (many of which I still own). Although my collection includes many pieces from my own childhood, I did not truly become a collector until I purchased a #972 Cash Register in 1988. Since then I have immersed myself in learning everything possible about the company and the toys they manufactured. I have an extensive collection and research resources. I have personally cleaned, repaired and restored numerous toys in my collection and for others.

Organizations

Although I am not a current member at this time, I was a member of the Fisher Price Collectors Club (FPCC) in previous years.

Education/Credentials

I am a high school graduate of Kansas. Have completed various courses in Business and Accounting at HCC of Kansas, but have not completed a degree at this time.
