I can answer most questions pertaining to owning, training(obedience and protection),agility, tracking, earthdog, grooming, and traveling with your Bedlington Terrier.

Experience in the area

I have owned and bred Bedlingtons for 15 years. I currently own a blue male. I have done obedience work with my dogs and have done earthdog with my dogs. I am currently an AKC Earthdog Judge at all levels. I owner/handle my dogs in conformation. I am also a Certified Master Groomer of 20 years.

Organizations

I belong to Bedlington Terrier Club of America, Bedlington Terrier Club of the West, Southern California Professional Groomers Association, International Professional Groomers, National Dog Groomers of America Association, Miniature Schnauzer Club of Southern California, Western Fox Terrier Association and the Smooth Fox Terrier club of America.

Awards and Honors

I have won many grooming awards in the grooming industry.

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

Does anyone really know it all about anything?? There are those who think they do. I hope to learn more than the average person about dogs in general.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

A Bedlingtons closest breed of dog is the Dandie Dinmont. At one time they were one in the same. The long legged ones were Bedlingtons and the short legged ones were Dandies.

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

DNA testing. This is still not a fool proof method of testing to see if a Bedlington has Copper Toxicosis or not. Some people will totally argue the point.

Its pretty much now or never.  I wouldn't breed a bitch after 7 years old.  As for picking up a teddy bear and crying....you would know best the behavior of your bitch when she is coming in season.  So

2009-10-01 itching:

Its the actual flea bite he is allergic to.  Fleas will inject their saliva and thats what the dogs are allergic to.  So even though he doesn't have fleas after a week he is still bothered by the actual

2009-09-05 Yorkies Ears:

Hi,    Sorry I don't remember answering a question like that.  No matter.  I use "mole skin"  and "tear mender" glue.  Cut the mole skin to the shape of the inside of the ear and glue it in.  Let it stay
