Amateur Erotica/Expert Profile

Expertise

Can answer questions for those looking to pursue the writing of Adult Erotica for personal satisfaction or for "pay." Can help the novice writer understand the critical elements that should be present in every story and teach them how to captivate the audience they are catering to. Can answer questions about punctuation, proper use of grammar, proper terminology as well as the "slang" used and incorporated in the construction of an Adult Erotic Story.

Experience in the area

I have written Adult Erotic Fiction for over 10 years catering to an online audience, firstly at White Shadows Nasty Stories where I was both a writer and an editor, most recently I have had work online at The Dominant's View under the pen name SaucyRazi. I also dabble in erotic poetry, but my strengths in the ares of Erotic Fiction are in the short story/novella field.

Publications

As I poet I have two published books available through online sales at places like Amazon as well as through the publishers web site (publishamerica.com) under the pen name Analeah FlameRain. These are mainstream books and therefore under a different pen name than my Erotic Fiction pen name.

Education/Credentials

I have certification as an "English Language Specialist" from Brainbench.com Which essentially means that I can construct grammatically correct sentences and can tell you where to dot your i's and cross your t's. My strengths are in punctuation and conjugation as well as recognizing words ( like a thesaurus) that mean other words and use them in proper sequencing when constructing a written work.

What do you like about this subject?

As a writer I like the fact that one can explore fantasy through writing. Keeping in mind that just because someone can write about a subject doesn't mean that they have lived it. I like the fact that even though it's a world of fantasy, there is a grain of truth in everything someone writes because writing is an expression of self like no other.

What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?

I'm hoping to help people develop a writing style that is unique to them. All too often when you enter the world of Amateur Erotic Fiction it all seems so generic...'he said,' 'she said,' By helping people develop writing style, it will help expand the quality of the stories available online and the content of those stories.

Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:

There is more to writing erotica than just putting your thoughts down on a page; it's an art form and it does take talent to write a good quality piece. Imagination and the ability to create solid imagery through the written word is a gift, but is also something that needs to be practiced and nourished in order to excel.

Something controversial or provocative about this subject

Erotic Fiction is always someone's choice to read or not read and the thing that has been the most frustrating are the people who can't seem to separate fantasy from reality. Just because I write it doesn't mean I do it, it just means I have a healthy imagination and the ability to express it in a manner that leaves the reader wondering and that is, in the end, the whole point.
