FREE GLOBAL & DOMESTIC TRAVEL which always beats discount travel. Over the years we have enjoyed free travel to such destinations as Africa, Israel, Australia, Brazil, France, New Zealand, Hawaii, England, Greece,Alaska, Spain and our lower 48. We have some experience using round-the-world air broker tickets. We have rented SIX Paris apartments for one month each, four one-month Barcelona apartment rentals, a one week apartment rental in Dublin, Ireland and the same on the Italian Riviera. Depending on your destination I may be able to offer sightseeing and general TIPS on travel related comfort, safety/convenience and day to day SAVINGS. Ex. Paris 1,016sq ft apt for $85/day. Since we travel Free 95% of the time I DO NOT OFFER ADVICE ON CHEAPEST, LOWEST PRICED AND/OR LAST MINUTE AIRLINE FARES. Such deals are best best found by diligent Google research plus reading the N.Y. and/or L.A. best in the U.S. Sunday Travel sections. FREE airline deals are usually not available to non-U.S. residents.

Experience in the area

From 2000-2008 we traveled six months per year to most corners of the globe. More recently we enjoy at least one 3-month trip per year. Most recent: One week in Florida, Celebrity cruise from Florida to Istanbul via Rome (29 day repositioning cruise)and then one month at our favorite Barcelona apartment rental. Our return home flight from Spain was, of course, FREE. Cost of our 29 days Celebrity cruise with window cabin including taxes and port fees: $2,400 each.

Our two travel guides, The Cheapskates Guide to Vacations and the Cheapskates Guide to Cruises were published in 2000 by Citadel Press and remained in publication through 2011. Our Free online travel newsletter, Steve and Pat's Cheap Travel Newsletter has published quarterly since 1999. The promo video for our FREE newsletter is found at: See the text below the video for LINKS to recent newsletters and our article on FREE TRAVEL. Cruising: We authored The Cruise Guides to Vacations (in print for 10+ years) and have taken many major global and domestic cruises. We have taken repositioning cruises for 32 days and 29 days each most recently in April 2013, 29 days Miami to Istanbul $2400. We have done river cruising on the Volga (Russia) and the Nile.
