Expert Profile: Robert Demoss

Expertise:  I can answer most questions about the Our Gang Comedies, including questions concerning cast members, crew members, release dates, memorabilia, availability of titles, and even some of the locations used. I`m continuously accumulating information, so obviously there is still much that I don`t know, but people just might find it tough to stump me.

Experience in the area
I run a website called theluckycorner.com, which provides all the details that I know about the 221 Our Gang films. I own every sound film in the series on VHS (133 total) and 72 of the silents (out of 88 total, with 7 being considered "lost" films).

2008-08-06  Our Gang films that show Roach studio trappings The only VHS I've come across with "Playin' Hookey" was from Video Classics, which was also marketed through The Picture Palace. I'm not sure if the latter would still have copies, since the former is...
2008-08-06  Our Gang films that show Roach studio trappings Hi Richard - I wish I had gotten a little further on my 'location' project by now, since you've now brought up the subject. About a year ago, I decided to make vidcaps from each Our Gang film, with the...
2008-08-05  Our Gang films that show Roach studio trappings Hi - The only Our Gang short that uses the studio as extensively as "Dogs Of War" would be "Playin' Hookey," since that one is also set at a movie studio. "Dogs Of War," "No Noise" and "Cradle Robbers"...
2008-08-03  Our Gang strange episode Hi Mike - Sounds like you were watching "Little Sinner" from 1935. Spanky and Buckwheat are in the woods playing hooky from Sunday school. There's a black congregation having a big baptismal ritual in...
