I am pretty good with questions from all genres. "Casablanca," Frank Capra films, "To Kill A Mockingbird," and horror films are my main areas of expertise. It`s an eclectic combo, I know...

Experience in the area

A lifetime of being a movie fan, six years of film studies courses in college and grad school, and a great hookup at a video store

What do you like about this subject?

William,    I am sorry I do not know the movie you are looking for at the moment... I am going to keep looking, though, because, for some reason, I seem to remember the plot you describe. I just cannot

Dona,    Not sure what spawned these repeated questions... if I didn't answer a question you asked me, it was because I did not know the answer and could not find the answer in any of my reference books

2011-06-26 old black & white movie:

Carmen,     Think you may have two movies mixed together.. the plot you describe is from Far From Heaven, made in 2002, but that movie was a remake of a film called All that Heaven Allows, made in 1955

2011-04-13 classic movie:

Avis,     The movie you are looking for is called "Five Came Back," but it is not available on DVD yet... I did find it on VHS, though...     http://www.amazon.com/Five-Came-Back-Chester-Morris/dp/B00007K07J/ref=sr_1_1?ie=

2011-01-14 follow up to previous question:

Julia...    Could you be thinking of "Anne OF Green Gables"? Or maybe "Sense and Sensibility"? The box description fits "Anne of Green Gables" but the plot suits "Sense" more...     See if either of these
