What do you like about this subject?  I like to journal because it is creative, healing and fun. I can experiment with writing, artistic skills and practice or experience a variety of situations. I can also keep a record of meaningful events and people.
What do you still hope to achieve/learn in this field?  I hope to increase my journal skills. There are always more ideas for exercises and techniques out there, then I can even create. I also hope to learn how to be more expressive in my personal and professional writing. Practicing and learning about journaling is always an adventure and a lifelong learning process.
Something interesting about this subject that others may not know:  Writing your first journal entry is the beginning of a new and creative writing experience.
Something controversial or provocative about this subject  Take a look at some the latest blog sites. Blogging is another type of journaling experience. Blogging played a major role in our last national election. Those journal-keepers actively participated in sharing views and comments with their public audiences before, during and after the election.
