Phil: I don't recall any Steelers player being released for that reason, however, Deon Figures who played for the team from 1993 to 1996 was once shot in a drive by and Greg Lloyd after his Steelers

Marc: I've been to a few games at Heinz Field, but unlike my days at Three Rivers Stadium, I'm not exactly sure where the players enter Heinz Field. My suggestion would be to get there 2-3 hours before
Marc: I believe the players come out under section 144 by the scoreboard. However, you may not be able to gain access into that section unless your ticket is in that section. The players normally are
